Impact Change

The IMPACT Change project will promote positive interactions between police, youth and the community through youth sports and effective dialogue.

Through an existing collaboration with Fort Worth Police Department, DHNS Youth Association leads and coordinates the Fort Worth Police Athletic League (FWPAL) youth football and basketball programs for the Diamond Hill/ Northside community. The FWPAL program provides guidance and leadership to ensure the safety of our youth, improve their lives, reduce crime and better serve the community by building strong and trusting relationships.

The primary goals of the IMPACT Change project include:

  • Promoting positive interactions between police and community members, particularly youth.
  • Facilitating constructive dialogue between police and community.
  • Hosting programs and events that engage the community and police officers in shared activities.
  • Highlighting stories and artistic expressions that give voice and understanding to marginalized experiences.

The IMPACT Change project is funded in part by North Texas Community Foundation and Rainwater Foundation.
