Diamond Hill North Side Youth Association collaborates with community partners to offer programs designed to encourage academic success and healthy lifestyle choices that empower youth and their families. The following initiatives are incorporated into our youth sports and youth development programs.
SOAR To Success: This literacy initiative utilizes a reading mentoring model that pairs young readers with high school and middle school student athletes who serve as reading volunteers/mentors. This program is made possible through a grant from the Dollar General Literacy Foundation.
Blue Zones Project Fort Worth: DHNS Youth Association has proved that a small organization can make a big impact on healthy behaviors. By partnering with Blue Zones Project Fort Worth, the organization has sparked an interest in eating wisely, moving naturally, and being involved with the right tribe. Whether it’s through the parent walking group or offering healthier snacks that fuel youth athletes, DHNS Youth Association inspires a life of health and wellness in the community. Learn More
